Esquibel vs. Cifers added to UFC 241
August UFC 241 has gained a strawweight bout pitting Jodie Esquibel up against Hannah Cifers.
A championship winning boxer and Invicta FC vet, Esquibel has five of her six career wins by decision. After three trips into the octagon the 33-year-old, New Mexico fighter is still on the hunt for her first UFC victory. Esquibel doesn’t just display courage in the cage but out as well serving as a first responder.
Cifers earned her UFC contract on the strength of a five-fight win streak. After a second-round knockout loss to Maycee Barber at UFC Fight Night 139, “Shockwave” would take a split decision win over Polyana Viana at UFC 235. The North Carolina native has five of her 8 wins by knockout.
UFC 241 is August 17th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California; headlined by the Heavyweight title rematch of Daniel Cormier defending against Stipe Miocic.
