Bellator 229 Headlined by Koreshkov vs. Larkin

Bellator MMA has announced Andrey Koreshkov versus Lorenz Larkin  has been re-booked to headline the promotions October 4th event.

The event will be Bellator 229 at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecumla, California. The two fighters were originally set to battle at Bellator 219, but Larkin was forced to withdraw due to an injury.

Koreshkov (22-3) is a former Bellator Welterweight champion hailing from Omsk, Russia. The “Spartan” remained on the Bellator 219 card, defeating Mike Jasper by unanimous decision. The -28-year-old has a 69% finishing rate with 12 of his 15 finishes by knockout.

Larkin (20-7) is a Strikeforce & UFC vet from Riverside, California. “The Monsoon” has founding his footing in Bellator in his last 2-fights winning decisions over Fernando Gonzalez & Ion Pascu; rebounding from losses to Douglas Lima & Paul Daley. The 32-year-old has all 11 of his stoppage victories have come by knockout.
