The Ultimate Fighting Championship is at the T-Mobile arena for the feature attraction of International Fight Week 2019, UFC 239. The event is a double main event with 2-championship contests.
The main event will see Brazil’s Thiago “Marreta” Santos challenging Jon “Bones: Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Santos is on a 4-fight win streak & is 3-0 since moving up to 205 lbs. All three have come by knockout. Jones is fighting for the third time in 8-months after having knocked out Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 to win the vacant title. Jones is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Smith from UFC 235.
Multiple division champion Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes puts her Bantamweight title on the line against former champ, former multiple time Boxing World Champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm. Nunes is returning to 135 lbs. after shocking the world at UFC 232, knocking out “Cyborg” in the first round to become the first female to simultaneously hold two UFC titles. Holm’s last two wins have been a head kick knockout of Bethe Correia and is coming off a UFC 225, unanimous decision win over Megan Anderson.
