Former LFA title challenger Jared “The Mountain” Vanderaa faces Brazil’s top Heavyweight prospect Renan “Problema” Ferreira. Vanderaa returns to the LFA after going winning 3 in a row in the South Africa organization EFC. The 27-year-old has 100% finishing rate, 6 knockouts, & 3 submissions. Ferreira comes in looking to a lot after being disqualified at LFA 70 for illegal strikes to the back fo Brett Martin’s head in what was a Heavyweight tournament semifinal. The 6”10’ 29-year-old is a protégé of the Nogueira brother’s who has all his win by knockout.
In the co-main event Ryan “The Lion” Lilley will take on Kevin “Mr. Nice Guy” Wirth at Bantamweight. Lilley has won 4 of his last 5 fights. At LFA 45 “The Lion” scored a TKO of Jordan Winski and in his last fight knocked out James Barnes, by head kick at Bellator 214. Wirth scored a head kick knock out of Isaiah Gutierrez at LFA 33. The Colorado native has won back to back fights, including submitting Carlos Puente Jr. at CFFC 75.
The feature five position will see a middleweight clash between Mosses Murrietta & Lucas Rita. Murrietta is a former title challenge with 6 of his 8 wins by stoppage, all knockouts. Rota comes in having a 58% finishing rate, 6 of his 7 finishes have come by knockout.
LFA 74 is set for August 30th at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California.
