Bellator 231, Mir vs. Nelson II Quick Results

A Bellator back to back at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, starts off with Bellator 231. The main event a rematch, former UFC Heavyweight champion Frank Mir against IFL & UFC vet “Big Country” Roy Nelson.

The first meeting came back in 2004 at UFC 130 in Las Vegas, where Mir won by unanimous decision. Mir one of the greatest heavyweight submission artists MMA has ever seen has nine of his 14 stoppage victories by submission. Nelson the winner of TUF 10, has dynamite in his hands, with 15 of his 19 finishes by Knockout.

The co-main event has former light heavyweight champion “Mr. Wonderful” Phil Davis welcoming Sweden’s Karl Albrektsson, a Rizin FF vet to Bellator.
