Means vs. Alves set for UFC DC

All healed up and ready to return to action, Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means will face Thiago “Pitbull” Alves in the nations capital.

The event is UFC on ESPN 7, taking place December seventh at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. The headliner is a heavyweight collision between Alister Overeem & Walt Harris.

Means (28-11-1) had been sidelined since injuring his ankle in March, when he fought Niko Price. A product of Fit NHB, Means has racked 23 stoppage victories; 19 by way of knockout.

Alves (23-14) is a former title challenger, and a long time member of American Top Team. This past February “Pitbull” picked up a split decision win over max Griffin. A Muay Thai style striker, Alves has 13 of his 14 finishes by knockout.
