“Pitbull” Torres headlines New Era at Tingley Colusiuem
Legacy Boxing Promotions will be back at Tingley Coliseum in November, with a huge card headlined by WBC champion Josh “Pitbull” Torres.
On Nov. 9th, the WBC Latino Silver & New Mexico State Welterweight champion will square off with Juan Jesus Rivera Garces from Aguascalientes, Mexico. Torres is on a six fight win streak, five of the wins have come by knockout. In July “Pitbull” defeated Alfonso Olveraat “Night of Champions”, by decision to win his 2nd WBC title; having won a WBC USNBC belt in 2015. Garces is a 45-fight vet with over two-thirds of his wins by knockout. No stranger to big fights Garces has competed WBC, NABF, & Mexico title belts.
In the co-main event “Guero” Jose Luis Sanchez takes on El Paso’s Issac Luna. Sanchez is on an 8-fight win streak. After taking 2017 off, Sanchez has won 3-fights in the last year & a half, decisions over Anthony Hill and Jose Pena; stopping Joe Gomez-Martinez by TKO. A gritty underdog, Luna is 3-0 in under the Legacy Promotions banner, defeating Brandon Trujillo & Ronnie Baca by decision and coming off a TKO of Matthew Esquibel at “Night of Champions”.
The card will also see ABF title champion, Las Cruces’s Amy Salinas welcomes Taversha Norwood from Phoenix, AZ to the pro ranks. Unbeaten, Abel Navarrett from Amarillo, TX defends his ABF American West title against Jose Antonio Martinez from Durango, Mex. In a bout between experienced vets, Albuquerque’s Jesus PerArduo faces Fruitland, NM Jazzma Houge. Lastly Andre Galarza versus Adam Ramirezx has been announced as the cards opening contest.
Aaron “Angel Baby” Perez, Matthew “Diamond Boy” Greigo, Gabriel Gabaldon, & Clinton “Native Kid” Chavez are all awaiting opponents to be finalized. There’s also a rumor that former Triple A MMA champion & Copa Combate winner Andres “The Bullet” Quintana will make his professional boxing debut on the card.
