There’s a major last-minute change to Friday’s LFA 79 on UFC Fight Pass.
Instead of facing Jared Scoggins, Brandon “Raw Dawg” Royval will now tangle with “Teddy Bear” Nate Williams for the vacant LFA flyweight title.
For Factory X’s Brand Royval it’s the latest in a string of changes. When LFA 78 was originally announced for October the main event was to see a rematch between Royval & Jerome Rivera, for the vacant flyweight title. The event was postponed. When LFA 79 was rebooked for Colorado, it came with a new opponent, Jared Scoggins. The fighter nicknamed “Raw Dawg”, has won four of his last five fights, two by submission. Williams a 12-year vet of MMA, has won three of his last four fights. The “Teddy Bear” is coming off consecutive wins over Jeff Jepsen. A Bellator vet, the Iowa natives most notable opponent has been UFC vet Chico Camus.
LFA 79 takes place at the 1ST Bank Arena in Broomfield, Colorado.
