Recap:

Andre Galarza scored his first career knockout stopping Ada m Ramirez 80 seconds into the opening round. Seconds into the fight we have a collision of heads.  Galarza would score two knockdowns with his overhand right. The ref waiving off the referee waiving the bout off as Ramirez hit the mat the second time. Clinton Chavez showed why his name continues to come up when he talk about the next prospect coming up the ranks defeating 28-fight vet Anthony Hill. Hill as he dose hung tough and frustrated his opponent at moments, but the Chavez right hand was on and kept Hill off balance for four-round. Gabriel Gabaldon scored a 4th round TKO win over  Derek Perez. Gabaldon found his success by putting Perez on the ropes, throwing combinations, drawing Perez’s attention with body shots before unloading with hooks upstairs, including a knockdown in the second round. Inthe nights rematch Jazzma Houge even the score with Xavier PerArdua winning the six-round affair by narrow split decision. Able Navarrete put on a beautiful performance scoring a forth-round knockout of Jose Antonio Martinez, with missile of a right hook. Aaron Perez reaches a huge milestone in his young career winning his first professional title belt by TKO. For six-rounds, “Angel Baby” expertly played the Matador avoiding the shots from the overly aggressive Isao Carranza and making him pay at every turn with devastating counters. Just as the 7th round began the ref mercifully stops the beating. The co-main event saw Jose Luis Sanchez put and end to the streak of upsets Issac Luna has pulled as a guest to the Land of Enchantment. “Guero” looked in the best physical condition of his life and it showed as he never let off the gas all night. Sanchez capitalized on Luna’s tendency to drop his hands, using the opening to score big hooks. In the main event Josh Torres made short work of Juan Jesus Rivera Garces crushing the Mexican fighter with a left hook to the body, which upon reply landed to the right kidney. Garces fell to the mat in intense pain holding his liver/right side of the rib cage. Fight was stopped right away.

What’s Next:

Andre Glarza is one fight away from evening his record after a 2nd straight win. Clinton Chavez & Gabriel Gabaldon are to remain active and keep building their records after wins over veteran foes. Jazzma Houge called for it and I second the idea of a trilogy bout against Jesus PerArdua. Naverrete will most likely defends is title belt a few more time before moving up to a bigger mid-level title. “Angel Baby” just won his belt and as so a defense would be in order next. One source tells me a Jose Luis Sanchez versus Issac Luna rematch could be a contractual obligation. The Sanchez Brother Boxing camp would rather jump back into the stop light for a rematch for “Guero” with Josh “Pitbull” Torres. Torres won his 7th in a row and as he’s said in interviews has his eyes on a big fight.
