The Ultimate Fighting Championship is at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia for UFC Fight Night 163. The main event a meeting between top 15 ranked Featherweights.
Number five ranked contender, Russia’s Zabit Magomedsharipov takes on number eleven ranked contender, Massachusetts native Calvin Kattar. This bout was originally scheduled to be on the UFC on ESPN 6 card, before being switched, Magomedsharipov is currently on a 13-fight win streak, including starting off his UFC career 5-0. We last saw the former ACB champion in action at UFC235 defeating Jeremy Stephens by unanimous decision. Kattar has won four of five fights inside the octagon. Winner of two in a row, Kattar has scored consecutive first round TKO wins over Chris Fishgold & Ricardo Lamas.
The co-main event is at Heavyweight. Number seven ranked contender, Alexander Volkov squares off with Greg Hardy, who replaces Junior Dos Santos, whose been in the hospital with a leg infection. Volkov is a former Bellator & M-1 champion, whose won six of his last seven fights. Hardy, who has all of his wins by knockout, played Football in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers & Dallas Cowboy prior to his MMA career.
