“Atrisco Kid” announces February Fight in Mississippi

February 1^st in Biloxi, Miss, as part of the undercard for Yordenis Ugas vs. Mike Dallas Jr. which will be Fox Sports 1; Fidel Maldonado Jr. (27-4-1) will face unbeaten Michel Rivera (17-0) in a lightweight bout.

After not competing in 2018, Maldonado Jr. reestablished himself by 3-0 in 2019. “The Atrisco Kid” was last in action in August stopping Juan Santiago by TKO for his 20^th career knockout victory. Rivera is a native if the Dominican Republic, who’ll be fighting in the United States for the third consecutive bout. Following a decision win over Rene Tellez Giron and a referee stoppage of Jose Luis Gallegos in the first two. The 21-year-old has 11 of her 17 wins by knockout.   

I reached out to Maldonado Jr. for a quote and he simply offered, “I just can’t wait to fight”.
