Fresquez Productions returns to the Ring with March Badness -

It’s been over six years since Lenny Fresquez has promoted a Boxing event, but he’s returning to his roots March 7th to present March Badness.

In the main event Albuquerque’s own, unbeaten Matthew “Diamond Boy” Griego battles Ronnie “Jong Jong” Baldonado from the Philippines, for the American Boxing Federation Continental America’s Flyweight championship. Griego was last in action in July, for Legacy Promotions defeating Leandro Torres by split decision. “Diamond Boy” comes into the fight with the not getting paid by the hour mentality. The 23-year-old has 80% of his wins by knockout. Baldonado has won five of his last six fights. Also currently 23-years-old, Baldonado has 9 of his 15 win by knockout.

In the co-main event Willie Villanueva from Albuquerque, NM will tangle with Antonio “Tone” Martinez from Espanola, NM. Villanueva is trained but Josh Gomez and has secured the majority of his victories by way of the judges score cards. Martinez is a Pat Holmes trained fighter, who won both his 2019 fights by unanimous decision.

The opening bout of the night will see Adrian Ortega from California against Albuquerque’s own Santiago Giron, fighting out of Power & Glory Boxing.

Giron’s teammate Donald Sanchez, who you can see in action Thursday night on DAZN on the Miami Fight Night card, and Joredanne “OMG” Garcia are both awaiting the completion of an opponent search.
