How Covid-19 is Affecting major MMA promotions

With the current global pandemic Coronavirus has cause many of the world biggest sports leagues have put their seasons on hiatus or have postponed them, but what about the world of MMA.

Bellator 241 taking place tomorrow night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut will still take place, but behind closed doors with no audience.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced UFC on ESPN+ 28, on Saturday in Brasilia, Brazil will also happen under the setting of closed doors with no audience. In a new update the UFC has announced they’ll be starting the show at 3 pm ET instead of the originally announced time of 5 pm ET. UFC on ESPN+ 29 is set for London England on March 21st will still go on as planned. UFC on ESPN 8 which is set for March 21st has been moved from Columbus, Ohio, to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Also, UFC on ESPN+ 30 which was set to take place in Portland, Oregon, will still take place on April 11th, but has all been moved to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong has announced all the promotions events will be closed door without audience effective immediately.

Plus Bare Knuckle FC  has announced their planned for Friday, BKFC 11 in Kansa has been postponed to June 20th.
