May 16th UFC Fight Night to be headlined by Harris vs. Overeem

For the third time Walt Harris versus Alistair Overeem has been booked to headline a UFC Fight Night.

Harris (12-7) announced the news on Instagram. Harris was forced for withdraw from the first scheduled meeting due a family tragedy. The second time was scheduled for April 11th, which was alter by the Covid-19 epidemic. “The Big Ticket” is the number nine ranked contender in the division and has all of his wins by knockout. Plus he’s  on a three-fight win streak.

Overeem (57-12) The number eight ranked contender in the division,  has held championships in both MMA & Kickboxing in multiple promotions. “The Reem” looks to rebound from a December knockout loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik, which halted the momentum of consecutive first round knockout victories.

Currently the UFC is not sharing details of where events are taking place, but all event inside the United States are taking place at the same venue for the foreseeable future. It rumored but unconfirmed that the venue is the Tachi Palace Resort & Casino.
