Chris Brown vs. Salaiman Ahmadyar added to LFA 85

One of the New Mexico MMA scenes most charismatic fighters will be moving up a weight class for his return to the LFA.

Highly touted, Chris “Breezy the Future” Brown is scheduled to face Salaiman Ahmadyar in a welterweight contest on the main card of LFA 85.

LFA 85 is July 17th at the Sanford Pentagon in Souix Falls, SD. The event will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT. Like the recent UFC shows LFA 84, 85, 86, & 87 will be closed-door events adhering to the strict health codes, safeguards, and Coronavirus (Covid-10) testing protocols.

Brown will step into the LFA octagon for the third time, this time starting his new journey as a welterweight. At LFA 71 “Breezy the Future” dazzled, in hitting Yemi Oduwole with everything but the kitchen sink, scoring a second round TKO. Four months later Brown jumped on the WXC 84 card, stopping Austin Tweedy by TKO in the first round. The Houston native now looks to rebound from out wrestled by Carrington Banks at LFA 80. Ahmadyar is a member of Team Alpha Male who has fought as heavy as 180 lbs. and as low as lightweight, 155 lbs. After starting out his pro career 6-0 with a pair of TKO wins the call came to join the LFA. The LFA debut would be disappointing as Ahmadyar was stopped in the first round by punches from Joaquin Lopez. Six months laster Ahmadyar would return to the win colun defeating Don Mohammed by decision. The 25-year-old returned to the LFA in January, falling just short, losing a unanimous decision to current title challenger Jacob Rosales.

This fight is full of big expectations with two fighters expecting to make an immediate impact in the LFA’s welterweight division.
