LFA Returns in July with Four Title Fights in Four Weeks

Legacy Fighting Alliance is back!

LFA will be heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take over the Sandford Pentagon for four events in four weeks. Just like the UFC has been doing all four events will be done behind closed doors.

The first event will be LFA 84 on July 10th. Unbeaten fighters battle for the vacant LFA featherweight title as Justin “J-Train” Gonzales (10-0) faces Jake “The Workin’ Man” Childers (8-0). Gonzales has primarily fought for the Colorado promotion Sparta Combat League. “J-Train” picked up his last win by decision over Zach Zane on the Contender Series. Childers is 3-0 in the LFA including a thirteen second TKO of Jamey Simmons. And a knockout from slam of Nate Richardson.

The second event will be LFA 85 on July 17th. In a battle to become the inaugural LFA women’s strawweight champion Sam “Sampage” Hughes (4-0) faces Vanessa “Lil Moster” Demopoulos (4-1). In January at LFA 81, Hughes picked up a dominate decision win over Lisa Mauldin, at flywieght. The same night Demopoulos ran her win streak to three, overcoming a game Loveth Young.

The third event will be LFA 86 on July 24th. The flyweight title, which was vacated by Brandon Royval when he signed with the UFC, will be up for grabs when Greg Fischer (10-1) squares off with Jimmy Flick (13-5). Fischer has finishes in half his win all have come by submission. Flick is 2-0 in the LFA having submitted Johnny Bedford & Cee Jay Hamilton; most recently submitting Jesse Bazzi in regional action.

The fourth event will be LFA 87 on July 31st. Originally scheduled for April 17th, postponed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Bryce Logan (11-4) & Jacob “Lil Badger” Rosales (12-5) will throwdown to take claim of the LFA lightweight title. Logan is a South Dakota native whose 3-0 in the LFA with decision wins over Dakota Bush, Kenneth Glenn, & Jonas Flok. Rosales has won five of his last six fights and is 2-0 in the LFA. Having knocked out Ricardo Seixas at LAF 54 and beat Salaiman Ahmadyar by decision at LFA 81.
