Angelo Leo Fighting for his First world Title Aug. 1st
Multiple reports have surfaced across the Internet that Angelo Leo will be Fighting for the WBO super bantamweight title.
The Athletic, Southwest Fight News, & the Albuquerque Journal have reported Angelo Leo will face Stephen Fulton.
The fight while not confirmed is expected to be on a Showtime boxing card taking place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Leo (19-0) was born in Albuquerque and is fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada where he’s being promoted by former world champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Angelo and his father Miguel made the move to Sin City in 2017 after having issues securing fight locally.
In December Leo ran his record to 19-0 and scored his ninth knockout victory stopping Caesar Juarez; to win the WBC NABO super bantamweight title.
Fulton (18-0) hails from the City of Brotherly Love and has eight wins by knockout. In his most recent outing in January “Cool Boy Steph” won a unanimous decision over Arnold Khegai to win the WBO intercontinental super bantamweight title.
Fulton is ranked the number one and Leo the number two ranked contender in their super bantamweight rankings. They’ll be battling for the belt vacated by Emmanuel Navertte who has decided to move up to featherweight.
