The third event on Fight Island is UFC Fight Night Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2. The 12-fight card is headlined by Deiveson Figueiredo & Joseph Benavidez battling for the second tone for the vacant UFC Flyweight championship.
Their first meeting in February was trenched in controversy as Figueiredo missed weight. Then on fight night as accidental clash of heads cut Benavidez Alton his hairline. Figueiredo took advantage of the situation landing a right and finishing the fight. With the clash of heads and having missed weight the UFC felt it best for the two top contenders to run it back once more.
The co-main event is in the middleweight division as number six ranked contender Kelvin Gastelum faces number seven Hack “The Joker” Hermansson.
The event take place at the Flash forum on Yas Island. Prelims are televised on ESPN at 5 p.m. ET. Main Card at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
