LFA 89 Easy Read Results

Legacy Fighting Alliance is at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for LFA 89. The six-fight card is headlined by a lightweight bout between top prospects.

The main event has Brant “Killer Bee” Moore squaring off against Joe “Skeletor” Giannetti. Moore is 3-0 in the LFA with two submission wins. The 26-year-old Texan has won five in a row, three of those wins coming by submission. Giannetti was a finalist on season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter. The Massachusetts native has won back to back fights and has finishes in his last three wins.

The co-main event a welterweight contest pitting Demarques “Scrap Iron” Jackson against Adrian “the Eagle” Hadribeaj. Jackson has had some big performances fighting for the LFA knocking out Hamilton Ash & submitting Bobby Lee. Hadribeaj is on a five fight win streak, tow of his last three wins by knockout.

Clayton Carpenter got the night going by showing off his wrestling skills while taking it to Manuel Medina for 15-minutes. Lamar Gosey wasted no time getting Joshua Fremd to the ground. But Fremd stood back up landing knee to the face till Gosey fell busted open across his forehead. Out striking Tyler Ray in the first and having the top position for mot of the third round saw Steve Jones win his fifth in a row taking the split decision. Powerful counter strikes from Ricardo Dias earned the split decision win over Desmond Torres. A strong leg kick from Adrian Hadribeaji swept out Demarques Jackson’s legs. Jackson reacted with a take down. On the ground Jackson took the back and found a rear naked choke inside of four minutes. The main event saw Brant Moore put Joe Giannetti on the mat for three rounds nearly getting the submission with a Von Flue and a arm-triangle choke, winning a technical grappling battle.

  • Light-heavyweight Bout: Joshua Fremd (5-1) def. Lamar Gosey (3-1) by KO (knees) 1:26 R1
  • Flyweight Bout: Clayton Carpenter (3-0) def. Manuel Medina (0-1) by (29-27, 29-28, 30-27) unanimous decision
