Twenty-four athletes stepped on the scale in Las Vegas, Nevada to make UFC Fight Night “Lewis vs. Oleinik” official.
Unfortunately three competitors missed their target. Beniel Dariush came in 2 lbs. heavy for a lightweight bout against Scott Holtzman, and will be fined 20% of his purse. Both participants in the featured prelim Tim Means, by 1.5 lbs., and Laureano Staropoli by 3.5 lbs., came in heavy. Means was given an extra hour to cut weight, while Staropoli is done cutting. After the hour Means stepped on the scale at 171 lbs.
The main event, number four ranked heavyweight contender Derrick Lewis versus number ten Aleksei Oleinik has the green light as both came in under the 266 lbs. limit.
The event takes place at the UFC Apex, entire card streams on ESPN+, prelims at 6 p.m. ET, main card at 9 p.m. ET.
