UFC Fight Night “Lewis vs. Oleinik” Easy read Results

The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC Fight Night “Lewis vs. Oleinik”. The 12-fight card is headlined by number four ranked heavyweight Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis versus number 11 ranked Aleksei “The Boa Constrictor” Olenik.

Recap: After making his octagon debut on short notice, up a weight class, Irwin Rivera returned to bantamweight and returned to the win column collecting a split decision win over Ali Alqaisi. Now 3-0 in the UFC and on a four-fight win steak overall, Youssef Zalal dominated Peter Barrett from landing a spinning back kick to the face to having over six-minutes of ground control to win a unanimous decision. Gavin Tukcer survived being knocked down, nearly submitted, to put Justin Jaynes to sleep with a rear naked choke in the final round. Two jab-cross combinations put Wellington Turman down, two hammer-fists end the night. Nasrat Haqparast picked up his fourth victory in the UFC, third by decision out striking Alex Munoz. Holland makes it back to back knockout win a sright right hand stopping Joaquin  Buckley in the third round. Tim Means picked up his 30th career win, two take-downs, a head kick knock-down, and kept Laureano Staropoli guessing to win a unanimous decision. Beneil Dariush wins his fifth in a row, hurting Scott Hotlzman with a knee & finishing the show landing a spinning back fist. Putting Julija Stoliarenko on the fence and on the mat, Yana Kunitskaya roughed up the Lithuanian fighter for three rounds. Darren Stewart scores his first career submission win catching Maki Pitolo in a high-elbow guillotine from a single leg take-down attempt, forcing the tap. Former champion Chris Weidman made a successful return to 185 lbs. completing five take-downs and having eight minutes of control time, defating Omari Akhmedov by decision. After a back an forth first round, Derrick Lewis caught Aleksei Oleinik with a right hook and 23 ground strikes later the ref jumped in. Derrick Lewis now holds the UFC record for the most knockouts (11) in heavyweight history.
