Alex Perez Inserted into UFC 255 Main Event (updated)

The UFC flyweight title will be on the line in the main event of UFC 255, but the challenger has changed.

Cody Garbrandt is no longer fighting on Nov. 21st. Instead number four flyweight ranked contender Alex Perez will attempt to dethrone Deiveson Figueiredo from atop the UFC flyweight throne. Perez had been scheduled to face Brandon Moreno. 

Deiveson Figueiredo won the title in July by first round submission of Joseph Benavidez. Perez is on a three-fight win streak, including a first round submission of Jordan Espinosa & a first round TKO of Jussier Formiga.

Brandon Moreno, whose unbeaten in his last four fights will take on Brandon Royval who’s won four straight, including submitting Kai-Kara France at UFC 253. 

UFC 255 is November 21st at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada; early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, prelims on ESPN or ESPN2, main card on ESPN+.
