LFA 92 Recap & Results
Hartman Arena in Park City Kansas hosts LFA 92. The nine-fight card is headlined by a showdown between bantamweight prospects, Kevin Wirth vs. Askar Askar.
The card started off quickly as it took just 29 seconds for the big punches of Christian Natividad to put Jose Hooguin down and out. Hard low kicks, sharp punches, and not accepting the bottom position lead to Slava Borshchev beating Ali Zebian by unanimous decision. Rodney Kealohi with perfect timing hit Mefi Monterroso with a flying knee to the body as Monterroso attempted at superman punch. The collision put Monterroso on the ground, Kealohi swarmed and finished with ground and pound. Ricky Furar’s power wresling out worked Jacob Thrall for two rounds. A Furar slam in the third round saw Jacob Thrall’s foot getting caught under himself leading to a gruesome knee injury. Dakota Bush stood on the feet long enough to make Brian Del Rosario think it would be in a striking match before shooting in for a double leg takedown. On the mat Bush was able to take the back and pick up his 4th rear naked choke win. In a grueling affair Antônio dos Santos Jr. outlasted Andre Fialho after exchanging big punches early, on the strength of takedowns late. A knockdown early, continual pressure, plus take downs in the second and third rounds saw Askar Askar get the better of Kevin Wirth for all three rounds.
