Manhoef versus Anderson headlines Bellator 251

The promotional debut of newly signed Corey “Overtime” Anderson will come in the headliner of Bellator 251.

Welcoming Anderson to the Bellator cage will be veteran knockout artist Melvin “No Mercy” Manhoef.

Anderson (13-5) has won four of his last five fights. Through 2018 & 2019, “Overtime” beat Patrick Cummins, Glover Teixeira, & Ilir Latifi by decision; and knockined out Johnny Walker at UFC 244.  The “TUF” 18 winner will look to rebound from a February knockout loss to current UFC light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

Manhoef (32-14-1) had been scheduled to faces Simon Biyong this weekend at Bellator’s show in Paris but has instead been transitioned to this higher profile opportunity. A Dutch combat sports legend, “No Mercy” has 29 of his 32 victories in MMA by knockout. The 44-year-old has proved age is only a number winning back to back fights, a decision over Kent Kauppinen & a TKO of Yannick Bahati.

Bellator 251 will be November 5th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
