The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, host UFC Fight Night “Hermansson vs. Vettori”. The 11-fight card is headlined by a Middleweight showdown, number four ranked Jack “The Joker” Hermansson against number thirteen ranked Marvin “The Italian Dream” Vettori.
Marvin Vettori is Hermansson’s third different opponent for tonight. Darren Till was forced to withdraw from injury, while Covid-19 took stopped Kevin Holland. Hermansson has won five of his last six fights, submitting Kelvin Gastelum in July. Vettori in on a three-fight win streak coming off submitting Karl Roberson in June.
Covid-19 has hit the card with a haymaker on fight day. Two fights a women’s flyweight bout Montana De La Rosa vs. Taila Santos & a featherweight bout of Movsar Evloev vs. Nate Landwehr have been cancelled. It’s being reported that one of De La Rosa’s cornermen have tested positive along with Movsar Evloev. Additionally, Cody Duren vs. Jimmy Flick has also been cancelled for non Covid-19 related medical reasons.
