Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2 set for June
The continuation of the epic flyweight title fight from UFC 256 that ended in a majority draw has been set for UFC 263.
The rematch between Deiveson Figueiredo (20-1) & Brandon Moreno (18-5-1) is set for June 12th.
The first meeting came on December 12th three weeks after both fighters were victorious at UFC 255. That night Figueiredo defended his title for the first-time submitting Alex Perez by guillotine choke & Moreno stopped Brandon Royval by TKO. The fight at UFC 256 was a back and forth battle that saw both have moments of triumph & failure, while both being completely exhausted on the short turn around.
Moreno is unbeaten in his last six fights, including decision wins over Kai Kara France & Jussier Formiga. The 27-year-old from Mexico has 13 finishes, 10 by submission. Figueiredo is also unbeaten in his last six fights, having a five-fight win streak before the first fight with Moreno. The champion has finishes in his last four wins including putting Joseph Benavidez to sleep to win the flyweight title.
