Simply Results: UFC 258

The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC 258. The 10-fight card is headlined by a welterweight title bout between former teammates as Gilbert Burns challenges Kamaru Usman for the belt.

Usman the reigning champion comes in on an  incredible 16-fight win streak. The “Nigerian Nightmares” has picked up his last 12 wins have come inside the contagon.  Usman dethroned Tyron Woodley at UFC 235 and has defended the title twice since. Burns is on a a six-fight win streak. The last four wins have come since Burns has moved up 170 lbs. The Brazilian earned his title shot after a decision win over former champion Tyron Woodley last May. 

The co-main event is a women’s flyweight bout. Number 10 ranked Maycee Barber returns from a year away due to a knee injury, to tangle with number 15 ranked contender Alexa Grasso, who comes in off a decision win over Ji Yeon Kim.
