The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC Fight Night “Overeem vs. Volkov”. The 13-fight card is an ESPN+ exclusive.
The headliner number five ranked heavyweight contender, Dutchman, Alistair Overeem takes on number six ranked Alexander Volkov from Russia. Overeem comes in off back to back wins by TKO from ground & pound. Volkov has won eight on his last ten fights, four by knockout.
In the co-main event number 2 ranked bantamweight contender Cory Sandhagen squares off with former lightweight champion, number four ranked, Frankie Edgar.
A late change to the line has occured as Askar Askar is not medically cleared to compete, cancelling his fight with Cody Stamann. Mike Rodriguez versus Danilo MArques has been elevated from the feated prelim to the main card. The Justin Jaynes versus Devonte Smith bout is now the featured prelim.
