Cyborg-Smith 2 set for May 21st

During the Bellator 255 broadcast it was announced that Cris Cyborg will be back in the cage in a rematch from her UFC days on May 21st.

In 2016, it was Leslie Smith, at that time having won two of her last three fights,  who was tabbed with welcoming the all imposing figure to the UFC. The fight at UFC 198 would only last 81 seconds as Cyborg bust Smith’s ear apart forcing a stoppage.

Smith has won four of her last five fight. “The Peacemaker” is 2-1 in Bellator with decision wins over Sinead Kavanagh & Amanda Bell. The number four ranked fighter trains with the likes of the Diaz brothers & Gilbert Milendez which shows in her boxing attack.

Cyborg is 2-0 in Bellator. Her debut at Bellator 238 came with dethroning Julia Budd of the Bellator women’s featherweight title by a fourth round TKO. In October at Bellator 249, the Brazilian defended the belt for the first-time submitting Arlene Blencowe by rear naked choke in the second round.
