Douglas Lima will put his Bellator welterweight championship on the line against unbeaten Yaroslav Amosov on June 11th.
The fight will be the main event of Bellator 260. The official announcement came during the main card of Bellator 257.
Lima (32-8) won the Bellator welterweight grand prix submitting Andrey Koreshkov in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals “The Phenom” hit Michael Page with an uppercut that was one of 2019’s best knockouts. Lima became a three-time welterweight champion beating Rory MacDonald by decision at Bellator 232. The Brazilian returns to 170 lbs. after a failed attempt to dethrone Gegard Mousasi of the middleweight title.
Amosov (25-0) is 6-0 in Bellator, including submitting David Rickles with a D’arce choke and beating Ed Ruth by decision. We last saw the Ukrainian fighter at Bellator 252 defeating Logan Storley by split decision.
