Anthem Sport & Entertainment has acquired Invicta Fighting Championships.
The move will see Invicta FC cards on TV for the first time in the promotion’s history. In the United States the events will air on AXS TV. The station was a long-time staple in the MMA world airing RFA, Legacy FC, LFA, CES MMA, KOTC, Titan FC & others. AXS TV is currently the home of Impact Wrestling. In Canada Invicta FC will air on the Fight Network & Globally there will be streaming options.
Invicta FC launched in 2012 with their first shows being on Internet per per view. In 2014 the promotion joined fight streaming platform UFC Fight Pass. Invicta FC President Shannon Kapp is staying aboard and will be joining Anthem’s executive team. The executive team includes names like Steve Harvey &Mark Cuban.
Invicta FC has been a huge part of the rise in notoriety for women’s MMA. The promotion has seen names such as Cris Cyborg, Tonya Evinger, Carla Esparza, Michelle Waterson, Angela Hill, & Vanessa Porto where their title belt.
The first event to air will be Invicta FC 44 on 21st. The main event will see Alesha Zappitella defend the Invicta FC atomweight championship against Jessica Delboni.
