Dodson vs. Gibson tops first three fights announced for XMMA 2

The first fight announced for XMMA 2 will see a pair of UFC vet locking horns.

In bantamweight action John “The Magician” Dodson faces Cody “The Renegade” Gibson. Dodson a two-time UFC title challenger fights for the first time since parting ways with the industry leader. To this point “The Magician’s” best trick was a slight of hand knocking out TJ Dillashaw to win TUF 14. In all Dodson has 10 of his 12 finishes by knockout. Gibson is 4-1 since his time with the UFC. “The Renegade” will be coming off a 3- month layoff since beating Gustavo Erak by unanimous decision in the main event of LFA 51.

The card will also see Justin “Tank” Scoggins against Keith “The Rockstar” Richardson. Scoggins is a UFC vet who hasn’t fought since a decision win over Kazuma Sone at Rizin 19 in August of 2019. During his time with the UFC Scoggins picked up wins over Will Campuzano, Josh Sampo, & Ray Borg. Richardson has competed for XFC, Bellator, & LFA.  The 37-year-old has 11 of his 12 finishes by submission.

XMMA 2 is July 30th and takes place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

  • Bantamweight Bout: John Dodson (21-12) vs. Cody Gibson (16-7)
  • Bantamweight Bout: Justin Scoggins (12-6) vs. Keith Richardson (19-11)
  • Lightweight Bout: Jeremiah Scott (8-5) vs. Nathen Arriaga (3-2)
