Grand Prix finals & three more fights set for Bellator 263

The finals of the Bellator featherweight Grand Prix will headline Bellator 263 on July 31st.

 After having exchanged verbal jabs on multiple platforms & mediums Patricio “Pitbull” Freire & AJ “The Mercenary” McKee are now set to physically exchange jabs. Freire is Bellator MMA’s featherweight & lightweight champion, who’s on a seven-fight win streak. “Pitbull” scored first round finishes in the quarterfinals, knocking out Perdro Carvalho, and in the semifinals submitting Emmanuel Sanchez by guillotine choke. McKee has torn through the tournament with three finishes. Knocking out Georgi Karahanyan in the opening round. Submitting Derek Campos in the quarterfinals with a triangle armbar combination.  And in the semifinal McKee submitted former bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell with a modified neck crank.

The card will also see what presumably is a number fight at bantamweight between Magomed Magomedov & Raufeon Stots. Magomedov a former ACA champion is 2-0 in Bellator coming off submitting Cee Jay Hamilton. Stots ran his record to 4-0 in Bellator following a decision over Josh Hill in May.

Further down the card in featherweight action ex-title challenger Emmanuel Sanchez will face Mdas Burell, a UFC vet on a six-fight win streak. Plus, former WSOF champion Georgi Karakhanyan will battle Ireland’s Kiefer Crosbie.

  • Bantamweight Bout: Magomed Magomedov (18-1) vs. Raufeon Stots (16-1)
  • Featherweight Bout: Mads Burnell (15-3) vs. Emmanuel Sanchez (20-5)
  • Lightweight Bout: Georgi Karakhanyan (30-11-1) vs. Kiefer Crosbie (8-2)
