Trio of Fights Official for Bellator 265
August 20th Bellator MMA returns to the Sanford Pentagon in Souix Falls, South Dakota with a heavyweight main event.
The fight atop the marquee for Bellator 265 will see France’s Chrick Kongo against Russia’s Sergei Kharitonov. An eight-fight win streak earned Kongo a title shot in 2019. That fight ended in a no contest after an eye poke. Kongo will look to get back in the win column after a split decision loss to Timothy Johnson. Kharitonov is currently on a four-fight win streak with two of the wins coming in Boxing and two in MMA, all four by knockout.
The co-main event is a title eliminator in the featherweight division either New Zealand’s Jay Jay Wilson or Hungry’s Adam Borics will be next for the winner of Patrico “Pitbull” Freire-AJ McKee at Bellator 263. Wilson is 5-0 in Bellator with four finishes coming off a TKO of Pedro Carvalho. Borics has won three straight decisions, the most recent over Jeremy Kennedy.
The card has also gained Alejandra Lara against DeAnna Bennett which has been rescheduled from Bellator 263. And South Dakota’s own Logan Storley (11-1) will be on the card.
