Gaethje vs. Chandler on Tap for UFC 268
A fight fans have long wanted to see, on that’s a fight of the year caliber contest will be the co-main event of UFC 268.
Number two ranked contender, former WSOF lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje will square off with number four ranked, three-time Bellator lightweight champion, “Iron” Michael Chandler.
Gaethje took possession of the WSOF lightweight title in 2015 and defended it three times, winning all four fights by knockout, before parting way to sign with the UFC. “The Highlight” as he’s nicknamed has 19 wins by knockout and all five of his wins in the octagon by knockout including names like Donald Cerrone & Tony Ferguson.
In his time with Bellator MMA, Chandler scored wins over the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Patricky Freire, & Benson Henderson. The Missouri native has 17 finishes, ten by knockout.The 35-year-old made his octagon debut at UFC 257 knocking out Dan Hooker for his third consecutive win by first round knockout.
UFC 268 is November 6th at Madison Square Garden in New York City and headlined by Colby Covington challenging Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title for a second time.
