Inn of the Mountain Gods hosted Warriorz on the Rez. The seven fight card was headlined by former WBC title holder Josh “Pitbull” Torres taking on Jose Morales.
The undercard opened with a trio of contests featuring six pugilists making their professional debuts. Albuquerque’s Angelo Valencia (1-0) beat Lubbock’s Joshua Reyes (0-1) by unanimous decision; the same happen when Albuquerque’s Xavier Madrid (1-0) took on Miguel Perez (1-0) of Las Veags. And it was Jorge Tovar (1-0) coming away with a first round knockout win over Los Angeles native Coalton Alford (0-1). Clinton Chavez (5-0) continued his winning ways earning his fourth win by knockout stopping Rey Trujillo (1-8-3). Three knockdowns in three rounds saw Abel Mendoza (30-0) continued his unbeaten ways stopping Isreal Rojas (14-23). The co-main event went all 6 as Adam Ochoa (6-2-1) earned his sixth career victory bettering Antonio Escalante (29-11) who was in his 40th professional fight. In the nights main event Josh “Pitbull” Torres (23-7-2) pushed forward from the opening bell putting Jose Morales (8-9) on defense. The Torres body work would be the story of the night as the Albuquerque fighter would score two knockdowns in the seconds off left hooks to the body; adding another body shot knockdown in the fourth; and in the fifth after a succession of left uppercuts & right straights it was another left hook to the body that put Morales down for the final time, giving Torres his 14th win by knockout.
