The stakes have been raised and the main event of Bellator 270 has been changed.
Patricio “Pitbull” Freire the former two division champion who recently lost his featherweight title to AJ McKee, and won the Bellator lightweight championship in May of 2019, never to defend it, has relinquish the lightweight title.
Bellator has decide to put the title up for grabs in the rematch of Peter Queally vs. Patricky “Pitbull” Freire, elevating their contest to the main event. Their first meeting at Bellator 258 saw Queally busting open Freire with an elbow forcing a doctor stoppage prior to the third round. Queally has won three of his last four fight all by knockout. Freire has won seven of his last nine fights with five wins by knockout.
The bantamweight grudge match between James Gallagher & Patchy Mix will now serve has the co-main event.
