Tapia Promotions “The Last Stand” a 12-fight card is this Saturday at Inn of The Mountain Gods Resort & Casino in Mescalero, NM.
The main event a 6-round exhibition between legends, three division world champion Marco Antonio Barrera faces two-time world champion Ponce De Leon.
In the co-main event, El Paseo’s Abel Mendoza a rising star who impressed in July at Inn of the Mountain Gods when he collected his 23rd win by knockout defeating Israel Rojas tangles with Chihuagua’s Victor Zaleta who been in the ring with the like of Leo Santa Cruz and has half his wins by knockout.

In an unexpected rematch unbeaten Clinton “The Native Kid” Chavez will face perpetual short notice opponent Anthony Hill. Chavez defeated Hill by decision when the two fought in 2019.
Elsewhere on the card unbeaten Demler Zamora from has Vegas who has six of his seven wins by knockout is set to mix it up with 41-fight vet Manuel Rubalcava from south of the boarder. The same type of challenge is awaiting unbeaten Illinois native Avoran Graham who’s set to tangle with 74-fight vet Alejandro Moreno. And Angel Chavez a San Jose native with 80% of his wins by knockout will take on Midland brawler Michael Sanchez.
