MVP Challenging for Bellator Welterweight Title in London

Yaroslav Amosov will defend the Bellator Welterweight championship for the first time against Michael “Venom” Page.

The world title fight will headline Bellator London on May 13th at the SSE Arena in Wembley.

Amosov (26-0) came into MMA accomplished in combat sports as four-time Sambo world champion before transitioning to MMA. Training out of American Top Team, Amosov dethroned three-time welterweight champion Douglas Lima at Bellator 260. The bout was a one-sided affair as the unbeaten Ukrainian repeatedly took down and smothered his Brazilian counterpart in a prominent showing of dominance. In all the four-time Sambo world champion has won 8 fights in Bellator also beating notables such as Erick Silva, Ed Ruth, & Logan Storley.

Page (20-1) came to MAM after a very successful career in Karate point fighting. The London Shootfighter representative earned this title fight on the strength of his 6-fight win streak. After suffering his first loss in MMA being knocked out by Douglas Lima, “MVP” rebound with consecutive knockouts of Richard Kiely, Giovanni Melillo, Shinsho Anzai. In October “Venom” collected the biggest win of win MMA career evening the series with Douglas Lima after getting the judges nod at Bellator 267.
