Amorim vs. Loveth Title Bout Rebooked as LFA 125 Headliner

The LFA Women’s Strawweight title will be on the line as the promotions debuts in New York on February 25th.

The event will be LFA 125 at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls New York. The main event will see Brazil’s Jaqueline Amorim battling Nigeria’s Loveth Young for the honor of becoming the 4th ever LFA Women’s Strawweight champion. This bout was originally scheduled for LFA 118 back in November but did not meet California’s sanctioning requirements.

Amorim has been on the BJJ mats since the age of six collecting many accolades. Since transitioning to MMA Amorim has should a take no prisoners mentality finishing all fours fights in the first round. The 26-year-old set the promotion record for the fastest finish by a Women’s stopping Megan Owen with punches in ten seconds.

Young debuted for the promotion at LFA 81 going the distance against submission artist Vanessa Demopoulos in a contest that wildly impressed. After finding her footing Young has rebounded by knocking out Reena Norville & Kelly D’Angelo.

The co-main event is set for the Welterweight division as Contender Series Alum Soloman Renfro will square off with X-1 champ, Adam Fugitt, X-1 is a Hawaiian promotion. Renfro has spent a large portion of his pro career fighting for CFFC, picking up his last three wins by first round stoppage. Fugitt is on a three-fight winning streak scoring wins by kimura, rear naked choke, & TKO.
