Bobby Green Jumping into UFC Vegas 49 Headliner

Due to a severe injury the UFC Fight Night on February 26th has undergone a major change.

A broken tibia has forced Beneil Dariush out of the main event in of UFC Vegas 49.

Jumping in on short notice to replace the number three ranked Dariush will be veteran Bobby “King” Green. Green will face the fastest rising start in the lightweight division, number four ranked Islam Makhachev.

Green comes in riding the train of momentum after back to back victories. At UFC 268 the “King” knocked out Al Iaquinta in the first round. And just six days ago at UFC 272 Green beat Nasrat Haqparst by unanimous decision. The California native will try to score the biggest win of his MMA career on ten days notice.

Makhachev is a despiteful of former Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov who implements the same smothering ground ground as his coach. The 24-year-old from Makhachkala Russia is on a 9-fight win streak inside the octagon. Makhachev had a banner year in 2021 rising to contender status after submitting Drew Dober, Thiago Moises, & Dan Hooker.
