Gomes vs. Costa set to Headline LFA 132
Legacy Fighting Alliance expansion into Brazil continues as the promotion is returning to Rio De Janeiro on May 13th for LFA 132.
This will be the company’s third trip and fourth event in the country. The main event will be a lightweight showdown between fast rising prospects Italo Gomes & Melquizael “Melk” Costa.
Gomes comes in off back-to-back wins. The 25-year-old is a BJJ black belt originally from Macaé, who’s relocated to Rio where he’s now part of the Tata Fight team. Gomez has finishes in his last four wins with three coming by submission.
Costa is a native of Bauru which is a region inside of São Paulo. The 25-year-old is unbeaten over the last three years. The fighter nicknamed “Melk” has won fight fights in that time. Three of the five wins have been finishes, including a successful international debut five weeks ago submitting Angel Rodriguez in Cancun.
In the co-main event Luan Luis Lacerda, who’s on an eight-fight win streak will take on Marciley “Durin” Alves, whose won seven of his last eight.
