Cannonier vs. Strickland Rebooked for December
Originally on the slate to headline the UFC Fight Night on October 15th, Jared Cannonier against Sean Strickland is now set to headline the UFC Fight Night on December 17th.
The fight was postponed due to Strickland have a very nasty finger infection.
Cannonier is the number two ranked contender at Middleweight. A counter striker with vicious power. The 31-year-old looks to rebound from a failed attempt at dethroning champion Israel Adesanya. “The Killa-Gorilla” has fought in three different weight classes in the UFC. Just at Middleweight he finished David Branch, Anderson Silva, Jack Hermansson, & Derek Brunson by knockout.
Strickland the number seven ranked contender is also a striker, but he applies the pressure systematically breaking down his opponents. In his last six wins Strickland has landed thirty strikes or more per round. A bit of an outlandish figure on social media Strickland has beat Uriah Hall & Jack Hermansson the last two times he was set for a five-rounder.
