Thanksgiving weekend Fightworld MMA will open up the Revel Entertainment Center as the first fight promotion to host an event in the newly built venue.
Pro card will include a battle between Las Cruces “Wreck It” Randy McCarty & Utah’s “Rolling Thunder” Sidiah Parker. McCarty is a 41-fight vet between MMA & Boxing from Briggs MMA with an expansive ground game who loves a brawl. Parker is a knockout artist, repping Fit NHB, who’s fought for LFA and has wore the KOTC title belt.
Listed as 165 lbs. bout Henry “Boom Boom” Barahona will meet Sherwin “The Genius” Price. Price is a flashy striker who’s scored four of his five wins by submission while Barahona is a bit more traditional of a striker, still having two third’s of his wins by stoppage.
At Lightweight Santa Fe wrestler Korey Windham will meet fellow pro debut-er Richard Jennings a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon do from Alamogordo. Also at Lightweight explosive athlete Brandon Trujillo battles technical kickboxer Jon Sparks. Opening the pro card will be the pro debut of Fightworld amateur champion Alejandro Gutierrez against unbeaten Texan Diara Culpepper.
This will be the first time the New Mexico chapter of FightWorld MMA will have pro fights on the card since the promotions relaunch.
The amateur undercard will feature top talent from across the southwest including from such teams as Fit NHB, JacksonWink Academy, JW Family Gym, Briggs MMA, Duke City MMA, Sandoval Fight Systems, Zia Martial Arts, & Santa Fe BJJ as well as others.
