LFA Ends the year with a championship Doubleheader

Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced they’ll be closing out 2022 with a championship double header in the Golden State.

The 28th LFA event of the year will see Alfonso “Sniper” Leyva versus Chris “Breezy the Future” Brown” for the vacant LFA Welterweight title will main event LFA 148. Leyva transitioned to MMA after twice representing Mexico as a wrestler in the Olympics. The unbeaten 29-year-old has scored his last four wins in the second round including knocking out Daniel Reis in the main event of LFA 135. Brown is a high volume counter striker with finishes in five of his nine wins. The Houston native has won all four of his fight in the LFA as a Welterweight coming off  beating Haris Talundzic in the main event of LFA 141. 

In the nights co-main event Jamey-Lyn Horth defends the LFA Women’s Flyweight title against former champion Sabina Mazo. Horth shocked many last December as the striker submitted Jiu Jitsu fighter Mayra Cantuaria to capture the promotions 125 title.  After spending the majority of the year recovering from a knee injury suffered in the fight the proud Maple Leaf is ready to get back on track. Mazo returns to the LFA after a seven fight stint with the UFC. Mazo was a trailblazer her first time around with the LFA being the youngest fighter to ever sign with the promotion and being the first fighter from Columbia to sign.  She was also a internet sensation in 2017 after back to back head kick knockout at LFA 9 & LFA 23.

Highly regarded prospect Jess Martinez & Richie Miranda will also be on the card. Martinez facing Contender Series alum Chase Gibson while Mirianda meets Kings MMA’s James Wilson.
