The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville Connecticut hosts Bellator 289. The 13-fight card features the semifinals of the Bantamweight Grand Prix including the interim Bantamweight title being on the line. Plus, a rematch for the Bellator Women’s Flyweight championship.
Stots is a wrestler whose striking has come to the point where he won the interim title by a head kick. Sabatello is a brash trash talking wrestling machine with an endless gas tank. Mix is a talented grappler, great at taking and attacking when on his opponents back. Magomedov is also a wrestler willing to finish by choke, armbar, or by ground and pound. Carmouche took the Bellator Women’s Flyweight title from Juliana Velasquez in April. A fight that is being ran back because many felt the fight was stopped early.
