The Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake Minnesota hosts LFA 150. The main event is a bantamweight showdown as BJJ world champion Ary Farias squares off with Karate specialist John Sweeney.
The main card opened with Quan Le running his perfect record to 5-0. Le controlled the fight from bell-to-bell finishing Henry Huff with a rear naked choke in the final 20 seconds of the fight. Power wrestler Dylan Budka utilized his strengths to grind up Wes Schultz for a decision win. After getting the takedown in the first, Mitchell McKee let his hands fly in the 2nd knocking out Ira Lukowaky showing the young wrestlers game is evolving. Scott Writz went to takedown Jalin Fuller in the first 30 seconds but instead found his neck wrapped up by Jalin Fuller and 45 seconds later Writz was snoring. This should prove with his 6th win in the promotion as a pro that Fuller is ready to be in a main event. Mark Climaco was a step ahead of Miguel Sanson at every turn. A suffocating effort from Climaco that led to a clean sweep of the judges’ cards. John Sweeney faced and survived his worst-case scenario in the first having Ary Farias on his back. Over the final two rounds Sweeney would turn the tables out scrambling Farias for control and landing heavy ground strikes. The damage leads Sweeney to a sixth straight win.
