The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas hosts UFC 285. The 14-fight card features a championship doubleheader as both the UFC women’s Flyweight & Vacant Heavyweight titles are on the line.
The main event will see 14x UFC Light-Heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones making his long waited move up to battle former interim champion Ciryl Gane for the Vacant UFC Heavyweight title. Jones is returning to the UFC after a three year hiatus from the sport. While Gane is just hitting his stride in the sport he picked up five years ago. In September in front of his home crowd for the fist UFC event in France Gane knocked out Tai Tuivasa.
In the co-main event Valentina Shevchenko looks to defend the UFC women’s Flyweight title for an eighth time against surging Mexican striker Alexa Grasso. Shevchenko is a perfect 9-0 in the division with four wins by knockout. Grasso is 4-0 since moving up to 125 lbs. having out dueled three foes for decision wins.
