Johns & Garcia to Battle for Vacant Featherweight title at LFA 163

LFA has announced they’ll be doing a Texas tour. The three leg journey will start by crowning a seventh LFA Featherweight champion.

Legacy Fighting Alliance will be visiting Texas in July, August and October. The first visit will LFA 163  set for July 21 at the Bell county expo center in Belton Texas.

The main event will see Elijah Johns battling Javier “El Mariachi” Garcia for the Vacant LFA Featherweight title.

John a Fortis MMA trained fighter has won seven of his last eight fights. After a disappointing, promotional debut Johns won five in a row with three TKO’s. Seeing a split decision go against John forced the 29-year-old to fill in a few more gaps in his game. The Kansas an it’s has won back to back decisions over Brandon Phillips, and Masuto Kawana.

Garcia is from CSW and has the reputation for being an all action fighter. The 30-year-old has fought six times for the LFA starting back at LFA 102  in 2021 where he beat AJ Cunningham by unanimous decision. Last July “El Mariachi” secured his second submission win in the LFA taking out Leandro Gomes with a rear naked choke. Garcia earn this title opportunity offer unanimous decision win over UFC vet, Albert Morales.

Immense flyway, attraction has also been announced for the cards that will see unbeaten New Mexican Javier Cepeda taking on tricky Texan, Kevin Fernandez.

  • Flyweight Bout (125 lb)
    Kevin Fernandez (5-1) vs. Javier Cepeda (3-0)
