The Gila River Resorts & Casinos in Chandler Arizona hosts Legacy Fighting Alliance for LFA 158 where the LFA Lightweight crown is up for grabs.

The LFA Lightweight division currently sits without a champion. A situation the promotions plans to remedy as they returns to the “Valley of the Sun” for a twelfth time. The LFA 158 main event will see Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani & JaCobi Jones battling to become the seventh LFA Lightweight champion.

Lebosnoyani is a life-long grappler, on the mats since three years old and competing since the age of five with success in Jiu Jitsu & as a high school wrestler. The fighter nicknamed “Mufasa” has won three in a row all by first round submission.

Jones is a true homegrown product having all his professional fights inside the LFA octagon. Like many MMA fighters “Big Toe” was bread on the wrestling mats winning Nebraska state champion in high school & was a three-time All American in college. The Factory X fighters comes in off consecutive stoppage wins.

Recap

The main card of LFA 158 opened up with Eric McMonico defeating Kevem Felipe by unanimous decision. McConico was active in the clinch getting the win on the score cards for the first time in his career. It was the same scenario for Ivan Tena who swept the score cards out grappling Riley Wiseman. Cedric Katambwa against Austin Wourms never really got going as Wourms was the victim of a low blow that ended the bout 53 seconds into the contest. Aupuni Pagaoa utilized a heavy body attack through the first round to open up Humberto Duarte to right hook, one punch knockout. An Tuan Ho reenforced his top prospect status hitting Edwin De Los Santos with every kick you could think of and secured two takedowns for the decision win.  The battle for the vacant Lightweight title was non-stop action for as long as it lasted. JaCobi Jones & Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani got right after it. Jones put Lebosnoyani on his back fending off constant submissions while slicing open Lebosonoyani up with elbows. The ref would stop the fight in the second round due to Lebosonyani being a bloody mess. Jones has cut his opponent open in three place on his face to force the stoppage and claim the vacant LFA Lightweight title.
